From patient scheduling to the reading room, imaging workflows provide a structured approach to radiology exams. However, workflows often fail when adapting to rapidly evolving needs of a radiology department. The process of adjusting workflows to meet scheduling, staffing, dose monitoring, and protocol demands is time intensive for technologists, physicists, and radiologist. Imaging workflow solutions utilize an integrated and quantitative approach to identify challenges, including sub-optimum scheduling, patient dose monitoring, protocol standardization, and sub-optimum resource utilization. Automated quantitative inspection by imaging workflow solutions has the potential to improve exam accuracy, reduce repeat examinations, and improve productivity. Vendors will present their imaging workflow solutions and describe how products can improve processes and empower diagnostic radiology departments.
