AAPM meetings offer rich and diverse opportunities for the communication of science, research, education, and practice of medical physics, with robust discussions, networking, and professional and career development. |Reproductive Health, Lactation, Child Care
Reproductive Health – AAPM acknowledges the concerns of some of our members about attending this meeting. AAPM has explicitly allowed for a limited number of pre-recorded presentations to facilitate participation. Furthermore, AAPM has made extra provisions to allow registered attendees who develop a health or well-being condition that prevents them from attending the meeting in person to request a registration refund via e-mail before the actual start of the meeting on July 23, 2023.
Lactation Room – AAPM is pleased to offer a Lactation Room, also known as a nursing room, a private space where lactating mothers can breastfeed or express milk in a comfortable and safe environment.

Child Care – AAPM is pleased to offer professionally managed on-site childcare services. Located inside of the George R. Brown Convention Center, Camp AAPM welcomes children 6 months to 12 years, with full and half-day options available. Children will enjoy a creative, customized schedule of age-appropriate activities, events, and games in a safe, nurturing environment.
The program will be managed by ACCENT on Children’s Arrangements, Inc. ACCENT staff are teachers, professional children’s program providers, and mothers who simply love working with children and have completed a specialized training program. All professional supervisors are CPR and Pediatric First Aid certified.

Reflection/Wellness Room – AAPM is pleased to offer a Reflection/Wellness Room, a peaceful space designed for relaxation and introspection. It's a place for individuals to engage in activities that promote well-being, such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises. It can also be a quiet space to take a break and recharge.

COVID, First Aid, and Local Resources
COVID-19 – AAPM supports CDC guidelines which include recommending vaccination and boosters with mask recommendations governed by local regulations. Vaccine verifications will not be required. However, we do ask if you’re not feeling well or test positive for COVID-19 to please seek medical care and advice, and refrain from entering AAPM meeting facilities.
First Aid – AAPM will provide on-site First Aid, with a licensed EMT, should you not feel well or need medical assistance during the meeting. The First Aid office will be located on the 1st level of the George R. Brown Convention Center across from Hall E.
