If you are not an undergraduate student or MPA, you must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
Your degree must be from a college or university accredited by one of the organizations recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or an equivalent foreign degree.
You should have an interest in the objectives of AAPM, which include promoting the application of physics to medicine and biology, encouraging interest and training in medical physics and related fields, and disseminating technical information in these areas.
Send the completed application form to membership@aapm.org. Please complete all applications in English.
Forward the Associate Member Verification Form to your supervisor, manager, program director or advisor. Ask them to complete the form and send it to membership@aapm.org.
Upon receiving your application, we'll create an account for you if one doesn't already exist and send you an invoice for a non-refundable $50 application fee ($25 for Associate-Student Category). We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. If you'd like to pay by check or International Postal Money Order, print the invoice and mail it along with the payment to:

Ensure we receive both your Associate Member Verification Form and the application fee within 30 days of submitting your application. Otherwise, your application will be automatically withdrawn.
Your application may take up to 30 days to review and process once application fee payment is received.
During the review period, you may attend one AAPM meeting (Spring Clinical Meeting, Annual Meeting, AAPM Summer School) or RSNA Meeting at member rates.
We'll notify you via email of your status. If approved, you'll be invoiced for dues. Dues for new members are pro-rated on a quarterly basis.
Changing Membership Class?
Application fees are waived for current members changing member classes.
Changes to membership class become effective at next renewal.
Associate-Student is a category within the Associate class for Graduate and Undergraduate Students that have a different dues and fee schedule. If you are no longer a Student, just let us know and we will move you to the appropriate fee structure. You may still need to complete an attestation.
If you are no longer eligible to remain in the class of Associate Membership, please re-apply to the membership class of your choice.
