NEW This Year

Starting in 2021, meeting content will be continuously available to Meeting Registrants.

Registrants

After the meeting, Registrants will continue to have post-meeting access to the meeting content via the AAPM website as a benefit of their meeting registration.

Earn your credits the easy way…..

For designated content, Registrants are eligible to receive continuing education credit (e.g., CAMPEP MPCEC hours, MDCB, and ASRT Category A credits*) and self-assessment modules (SAM) during the meeting and for six weeks following via the meeting online evaluation system. The online evaluation system will close at 11:59 pm ET, Friday, September 10, 2021. Credits will be posted by September 23, 2021.

Registrants are strongly encouraged to use the online evaluation system process to greatly simplify earning your credits.

Continue to earn credits, but passing quiz now required….

After six weeks, the content will move out of the meeting platform to the AAPM website. Registrants can then continue to earn medical physics continuing educations credits (MPCEC) and self-assessment modules (SAM).

During this phase, to successfully earn MPCEC or SA-CE, a registrant:

  • Must correctly answer quiz questions; 100% pass rate.
  • Cannot attempt the same quiz in the same 24-hour block; you must wait a day before attempting the same quiz.

* ASRT has modified the criteria for earning credits for On-Demand content. AAPM will apply for CAT A credits for watching Simu live content during its scheduled time and performing the required evaluation. AAPM will not apply for CAT A credits for sessions viewed On-Demand after their scheduled time.

Non-Registrants

Starting in 2021, Non-Registrants, regardless of AAPM membership status, will be able to access the meeting content after an interval of time via the AAPM website.

  • AAPM members will gain access through the AAPM Virtual Library one year after the meeting.
  • Non-members will gain access two years after the meeting.

Want access to the 2021 meeting content earlier?

Both AAPM members and non-members may purchase Post-Meeting Access six-weeks following the meeting to access meeting content on the AAPM website.

With the purchase of Post-Meeting Access, both AAPM members and non-members are eligible to earn self-assessment modules (SAM) through successful quiz completion as described above.

MOC/SAM

SAM Process

Many AAPM members now require Maintenance of Certification (MOC) as defined by the American Board of Radiology. SAM are not required but can be used to meet the (ABR) American Board of Radiology self-assessment continuing education (SA-CE) requirements. The 2021 AAPM Virtual 63rd Annual Meeting & Exhibition will offer 82 SAM sessions. 120 SAM SA-CE credit hours will be available.

In an effort to provide increased SAM offerings and to allow the maximum time for speakers to adequately cover presentation content, the AAPM has implemented a new SAM Process.

It’s simple….

  • SAM session attendance will be verified via virtual software.
  • Complete the SAM session questions using the Online Evaluation System. SAM questions are no longer embedded in SAM presentations, so audience interaction is not needed.

Here's how to successfully obtain SA-CE credit:

  • Individuals interested in earning SA-CE credit must register for SAM...pre-meeting.
  • Upon beginning a designated SAM session, your attendance will automatically be verified via the virtual software. You must attend the entire SAM session to be eligible to obtain SAM credit.
  • Attendance is tracked via virtual software. To obtain credit, you must view each session in entirety and answer the SAM questions associated with the session in the Online Evaluation System. Your answer does not need to be correct to earn credit, however, you must respond to all questions for the session to earn credit.
  • Your responses are a self-assessment of knowledge gained during designated sessions. In the evaluation system, you will be provided with the aggregate of how other participants responded to each question along with your answer.
  • The Online Evaluation system will remain open through 11:59 pm ET, Friday September 10, 2021.Evaluations MUST be completed by that time for credits to be earned.

Please note:

  • SAM sessions are open to all meeting attendees. Individuals who do not need SA-CE credits can attend the sessions and complete the online evaluation to obtain MPCEC credit. SAM questions are not provided to Non SAM participants.

EVALUATE IN REAL TIME!

  • Use a personal smartphone, tablet, or laptop to access the Online Evaluation System in order to evaluate a session and complete SAM questions in real time during the session.
  • Attendees will have access to SAM questions prior to and during the meeting.
SAM Questions

The SAM quiz questions will be available for viewing before each SAM session starts. View the SAM quiz questions »
