Purpose: The objective of this work is to perform end-to-end verification test of Brainlab Elements cranial vascular planning module designed for arteriovenous malformation (AVM) treatment.

Methods: A dosimetric end-to-end test was performed using a customized phantom setup. High resolution angiogram, CT, and MRI scan of the phantom was obtained and imported into the Brainlab Elements cranial vascular planning module. A clinical treatment plan with 5 arcs was generated and delivered to the phantom on a Varian TrueBeam STx Linac having HD-MLCs using 6-FFF photons. The delivered dose was verified using a ADCL calibrated ionization chamber placed in the phantom.

Results: The Angio, MRI and the CT scans obtained with the custom-made phantom were fused to generate a treatment plan with SRS Rx dose of 15 Gy. The total dose measured by the ionization chamber and the planned dose agreed within 1%.

Conclusion: An end-to-end dose verification of the Brainlab Elements cranial vascular planning module for intracranial SRS treatments of AVM was successfully performed using a custom-made phantom with <1% measurement uncertainty.
