WE-EF-TRACK 7-0 (Wednesday, 7/28/2021) 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM [Eastern Time (GMT-4)]

This educational program will cover the changing landscape of patient-specific QA, including experience of implementing new solutions into the clinic, as well as developing new technologies. Specific topics include: 1) Moving from measurement-based pre-treatment QA with Gamma Analysis in phantom to DVH based metrics 2) Moving from measurement-based pre-treatment QA to trajectory file-based QA 3) Moving from a simple 'Type A' independent dose calculation to a 'Type B' (convolution/superposition) or 'Type C' (Monte Carlo) based independent dose calculation algorithm 4) Patient-specific QA for new technologies and online adaptive radiotherapy 5) Scintillator based patient-specific QA in the age of magnetic guided radiation therapy (MgRT).

Learning Objectives

Learning Objective 1: The benefits of DVH based analysis in patient-specific QA.
Learning Objective 2: The strengths and weaknesses of log file-based QA
Learning Objective 3: The latest advancement in the area of independent dose calculation algorithm.
Learning Objective 4: The challenges of patient-specific QA in the era of online adaptive radiation therapy
Learning Objective 5: New measurement-based methods in the presence of magnetic field
