Objectives

  1. Review the physics of small field dosimetry
  2. Understand the formalism and implementation of IAEA-AAPM TRS-483 and AAPM TG-155
  3. Learn about suitable detectors and uncertainty analysis for small field dosimetry
  4. Understand the treatment planning algorithm implications in SBRT treatments with small fields
  5. Understand the clinical applications of SBRT to different sites with emphasis on volume definition, clinical planning goals and plan quality
  6. Understand the quality assurance and IGRT requirements in SBRT
  7. Learn about applications of automatic planning and adaptive RT techniques in SBRT
  8. Practice equipment calibration and determination of output for small fields
