The 2021 AAPM Virtual Spring Clinical Meeting will include practical information designed to help medical physicists integrate emerging technologies into the clinical environment. A program has been developed to address regulatory and accreditation related issues, and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas in support of practice quality improvement.

Why Register?

The Spring Clinical Meeting focuses on clinical topics of current interest and offers additional opportunities to meet continuing education requirements. This Meeting is designed to provide easy access for clinical physicists in a compact format for up-to-date clinical education.

The program permits participants to meet continuing educational requirements for their clinical specialties, including SAMs on a wide variety of topics, and accommodates attendees who may be limited to participating only on the weekend, or only during weekdays. The full meeting program runs from Saturday, April 17th through Tuesday April 20th and encompasses a series of topics of current clinical interest.

JUST ADDED! After Hours Events: Socialize with fellow attendees while playing trivia, chatting with EXCOM, listening to and discussing a podcast, or watching a movie. Be sure to add a ticket to your registration to save a seat! Capacity is limited. There is no additional fee for these events but you must be a registered attendee to participate. Details Here!

AAPM Member volunteers are working closely with the HQ team on the many specifics of this change - including the use of a fresh online meeting platform - and are confident this virtual experience will provide great Spring Clinical Meeting content, including SAM credits and MPCEC hours and engagement with vendors. We hope that you will be able to attend and contribute to the success of the Virtual Spring Clinical Meeting and help to make this a continuing opportunity for the medical physics community’s education.

NEW This Year

Starting in 2021, meeting content will be continuously available to Meeting Registrants.

Registrants

After the meeting, Registrants will continue to have post-meeting access to the meeting content via the AAPM website as a benefit of their meeting registration.

Earn your credits the easy way…..

For designated content, Registrants are eligible to receive continuing education credit (e.g., CAMPEP MPCEC hours, MDCB, and ASRT Category A credits*) and self-assessment modules (SAM) during the meeting and for six weeks following via the meeting online evaluation system. The online evaluation system will close at 11:59 pm ET, Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Credits will be posted by June 14.

Registrants are strongly encouraged to use the online evaluation system process to greatly simplify earning your credits.

Continue to earn credits, but passing quiz now required….

After six weeks, the content will move out of the meeting platform to the AAPM website. Registrants can then continue to earn medical physics continuing educations credits (MPCEC) and self-assessment modules (SAM).

During this phase, to successfully earn MPCEC or SA-CE, a registrant:

  • Must correctly answer quiz questions; 100% pass rate.
  • Cannot attempt the same quiz in the same 24-hour block; you must wait a day before attempting the same quiz.

* ASRT has modified the criteria for earning credits for On-Demand content. AAPM will apply for CAT A credits for watching Simu live content during its scheduled time and performing the required evaluation. AAPM will not apply for CAT A credits for sessions viewed On-Demand after their scheduled time.

Non-Registrants

Starting in 2021, Non-Registrants, regardless of AAPM membership status, will be able to access the meeting content after an interval of time via the AAPM website.

  • AAPM members will gain access through the AAPM Virtual Library one year after the meeting.
  • Non-members will gain access two years after the meeting.

Want access to the 2021 meeting content earlier?

Both AAPM members and non-members may purchase Post-Meeting Access six-weeks following the meeting to access meeting content on the AAPM website.

With the purchase of Post-Meeting Access, both AAPM members and non-members are eligible to earn self-assessment modules (SAM) through successful quiz completion as described above.
