Homogeneity of the main magnetic field in MRI is essential for image quality, spatial fidelity, and artifact reduction. B0 homogeneity should be evaluated by the physicist at least annually, but the available and appropriate procedures for doing so vary by vendor, access level, setting, and resources available. This talk will review the methods that can be used to measure homogeneity and detail step-by-step procedures for performing this test on different vendor platforms. Additional resources and advice on interpreting results will also be discussed.

Objectives:
1. Understand the impact of MR homogeneity on image quality
2. Explain the different methods of testing MRI homogeneity
3. Identify resources for vendor-specific MRI homogeneity testing instructions
