Independent dose verification is an important part of a comprehensive QA program in radiation oncology. Different solutions have been developed including various algorithms and measurement techniques. This guided tour section commences with an introductory presentation covering the basics of independent dose verification approaches, including their rationale and current TG-219 recommendations, followed by an overview of the broad array of currently available techniques. Vendors will then showcase their latest developments and products for independent dose verification, followed by a question-and-answer session.
