In this session, we have three CT experts reviewing the latest updates on technical developments and clinical applications of dual-energy CT. The three talks will summarize the dual-energy CT imaging chain, consisting of data acquisition, image processing and clinical applications. The first talk will overview various dual-energy CT scanners and their hardware. Updates on recently developed methods will also be discussed, like synthetic methods and deep learning methods to generate dual-energy CT data. The second talk will overview image processing in dual energy CT, i.e., how various image types are generated, and their advantages compared to conventional CT images, with recent updates in these areas. The third talk will provide a variety of clinical use cases of dual-energy CT, emphasizing its practical utility and recent developments.

Learning Objectives
1. Understand basic physics behind dual-energy CT scanners and remaining challenges.
2. Understand how dual-energy CT images are generated after data acquisition and current image processing challenges.
3. Understand clinical applications of dual-energy CT and current trends and obstacles.
